About these terms

These terms apply to pet sitting and garden help arranged through Paws 'n Claws Career. Work is arranged directly between Barry Kerwand and the client, based on good faith and mutual trust.

Enquiries and bookings

• Sending an enquiry is not a booking.
• Barry confirms each booking by phone or email. Preferred dates and times you choose on the website are requests until Barry confirms them.

Free visits and travel fees

• A free meet and greet or quote visit is available within 12 km of Jannali.
• Visits between 12 km and 30 km from Jannali include a $10 travel fee.
• Visits beyond 30 km are not offered.
• Distances on the website are estimates. Barry confirms the final travel fee when he replies.

Prices

Prices are as shown on the services page. House sitting is negotiable for stays over 7 nights. Garden job prices are given after Barry has seen the job.

Cancellations

Refunds are usually 50%, depending on how much notice you give and whether the booking falls in a peak period such as school holidays, Christmas or Easter.

Your responsibilities

• Give accurate information about your pet, including health needs, medication, and a vet contact.
• Give medication instructions in writing before the first visit.
• Tell Barry about any change in your pet's needs or your contact details.
• Tell Barry about hazards at your home or garden, such as loose fencing, pool gates, or chemicals.
• For garden work, tell Barry whether you will supply the tools and equipment. If you do, you are responsible for their condition and safe use.

Emergencies

If your pet becomes unwell or hurt, Barry will try to contact you first. If he cannot reach you, he may take your pet to your nominated vet or the nearest emergency vet. You agree to pay vet costs.

Insurance

Barry does not hold insurance for this work. Please tell Barry before you book if you need a particular cover to be in place.

Care and liability

Barry takes reasonable care with your home, pet and garden. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Problems

If something goes wrong, please contact Barry first so you can sort it out together. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
